The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama met on Friday, 30th August 2019, with the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Hellenic Parliament, H.E. Mrs. Lina Mendioni.

The 40-meter traditional wooden vessel from Qatar 'Al Mubaraki' arrived to Greece on 24th July 2019 at Thessaloniki City anchoring for two days. Then it went to Mykonos on 3rd of August, to arrive at Piraeus' Marina Zeas on Wednesday, 7th August 2019. The ship remained at Marina Zeas until Monday 12th August is on a tour to promote the FIFA 2022 World Cup that will be held in Qatar.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Athens, in cooperation with the Group of the Greek Veterans of Football, conducted a friendly soccer game in the framework the National Sport Day of the State of Qatar. The event took place on Tuesday 12th February, 2019, at Veikou Park. as Heads of Foreign Diplomatic Missions in Athens, Directorates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many other officials from the field of Sport and Culture attended honored with their presence.

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Athens celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar, by organizing several cultural events during three days, with a distinguished presence of the Greek Political Officials, headed by the Minister of Justice, Transparency & Human Rights of Greece, HE. Mr. Michalis Kalogeros, the Deputy Minister of Economy & Development HE. Mr. Sterios Pitsiorlas, the Deputy Foreign Minister HE. Mr. Polaris, the Director of the Diplomatic Cabinet of the Parliament's Speaker, HE. Mr. Theokharos, the former Minister of Social Insurances HE, Mr. Panagiotis Koroublis, as a large number of Directors of the different Departments of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Representatives of the Greek Air Force and Military Attachés.
