The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs took part at the EU - Arab World Summit " Shared Horizons" (29-30/10/2018)

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Sultan Bin Saad Al Muraikhi, led the Qatari delegation during EU - Arab World Summit " Shared Horizons", which took place in Athens from 29 – 30 October 2018. The State of Qatar has renewed its call for eradicating the phenomenon of asylum and migration in the world by addressing its root causes through achieving stability in conflict areas, resolving conflicts and promoting development projects. This came in Qatar's statement delivered by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi before the EU-Arab World Summit "Shared Horizons" in Athens Monday, 29th October 2018. HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi said that working on resolving disputes and conflicts achieves stability, preserves the dignity of refugees and migrants, and reduces the risks of their transient and long-distance flow.






President of Greece Meets Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

HE President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos met here on Wednesday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who is currently visiting Athens. At the outset of the meeting, HE the Deputy Foreign Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the President of Greece and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Greece.




Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs met with the Greek Minister of National Defense

His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Panos Kamenos, Minister of the National Decene to the Hellenic Republic, in Athens. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest and ways of enhancing them in the fields of defence, exchange of training courses and experiences. Also, they discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the Gulf crisis, the crisis in Syria and in Libya and the Palestinian issue.
