QFA President meets Greek Deputy Minister of Sport and Culture

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), received at his office this afternoon Lefteris Avgenakis, the Greek Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports. The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic HE Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama and Ali Dawood, Executive Director of the Office of the President.



Qatar Participates in 4th EU-Arab World Summit in Athens

The State of Qatar took part in the 4th EU-Arab World Summit, which was held in Athens Tuesday under the slogan "A Strategic Partnership". HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi chaired the delegation of the State of Qatar. In his speech, HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs underlined that the State of Qatar attaches great importance to the peaceful settlement of disputes in order to contribute to global peace building, noting that Qatar has succeeded in resolving many national and regional disputes through the development of "mediation diplomacy".





Qatar's traditional sailboat 'Al Mubaraki' docked at Marina Zeas on 7th August 2019

The 40-meter traditional wooden vessel from Qatar 'Al Mubaraki' arrived to Greece on 24th July 2019 at Thessaloniki City anchoring for two days. Then it went to Mykonos on 3rd of August, to arrive at Piraeus' Marina Zeas on Wednesday, 7th August 2019. The ship remained at Marina Zeas until Monday 12th August is on a tour to promote the FIFA 2022 World Cup that will be held in Qatar.
