HE Secretary General to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Hellenic Republic Mr. Themistoklis Demiris met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Athens Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, on the occasion of the end of his tenure. During the meeting, relations of bilateral cooperation between the two countries have been reviewed. HE Secretary General to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked HE the Ambassador for his efforts in supporting and enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, and wished him success in his new duties.

HE Mrs. Lina Mendoni, Minister of Culture and Sports to the Hellenic Republic met on Thursday 1st July 2021 with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic HE Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Naaam on the occasion of the end of his tenure in the country. During the meeting, they discussed the support and strengthen of the bilateral relations. H.E. Mrs. Lina Mendoni praised the level of relations in the cultural and sports field between the two countries. H.E. also commended the good efforts made by HE the Qatari Ambassador during his tenure in the Hellenic Republic to consolidate relations between the two countries. The Ministry of Culture and Sports wished the Ambassador success and prosperity in his future assignments.

HH the Amir of the State of Qatar sends an invitation to the Greek Prime Minister to participate in the Qatar Economic Forum

HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar has invited HE Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, to participate in the Qatar Economic Forum, which will be held virtually under the theme “Reimagining the World”, between June 21 – 23 this year. The invitation was handed over by HE Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic, during HE’s meeting on Wednesday, 3rd June, 2021 with the Director of the Diplomatic Cabinet of the Greek Prime Minister, HE Mrs. Eleni Sorani.

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama met on Monday, 31st May 2021, with the Director of D1 Directorate for the UN & International Organisations and Conferences of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs H.E. Alexis Zanos. During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them in addition to issues of common interest.


Notice for Qatari Travelers to Greece

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic notes that, based on the Greek government decision on reducing the precautionary measures and permitting the entrance to Qatari citizens and their exemption from quarantine, as they are requested to follow the following: ​ •Fill out the “PLF” form on the website “travel.gov.gr”. •Show traveler’s vaccination certificate against “COVID-19” issued in English by a recognized public hospital, whereas 14 days should have elapsed since the 2nd dose of the vaccination and the person’s full name must match the name on the passport or any other recognized travel document. •For those who have not received the vaccine, they are required to have a negative PCR certificate for a Covid-19 test taken no later than 72 hours before arrival. •Those recovered from “COVID-19” must show a certificate of recovery 2 to 9 months since the infection •All travelers undergo a sampling Rapid antigen tests at the entrance gates and are committed to assent with the health protocols during throughout their entire stay in Greece •The Embassy advises all travelers to coordinate with the airline company according to its procedures and to adhere to the precautionary measures imposed in Greece



Qatar Airways is resuming its service to Mykonos

Qatar Airways is resuming its service to Mykonos, Greece for the summer season as the islands welcome visitors once again. The airline is planning to operate three flights a week using a modern A320 aircraft featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 120 seats in Economy Class.
